RH8292 Pair of Sterling Vegetable Tureens

Circa 1875

A rare pair of finely chased antique sterling vegetable tureens with chased and engraved butterflies and vines. Marked with a retailer's stamp of W H Saxton (of Connecticut) and sterling. The handles are custom screw on script monogram finials. The bottom of the tureens has the same hand chased design as the lids all the way through to the middle of the bases.
